EPICENTRE at the service of the Dream MBE
The objective of EPICENTRE is to implement a technological innovation strategy in the field of MBE through a common governance and a research plan designed to lead to the development of a set of technological building blocks.
The first axis is to develop a set of complementary, non-destructive, in-situ measurement tools that provide ultimate control of epitaxial processes of complex materials. The ambition is to provide solutions to considerably improve MBE processes in order to offer greater automation, stability and reproducibility of growth processes on all Riber machine ranges.
The second axis of EPICENTRE is to develop a solution dedicated to the growth of superconducting materials for the 'datacom' industry, more precisely in the field of quantum computing, by specifically addressing the technological challenge of low temperature deposition, which triggers the superconducting properties.
